It’s Friday! August 30, 2013 (And an opportunity to share your art!)

Every September, I begin to draw again. For a month, I draw, paint, and write. I never noticed this pattern until I started looking back through my sketch pads and noticed most of the dates of my drawings are in September.
This year, I am asking you to join me in celebrating art. Send me a picture, document, or video of something you created and I will feature it every day in my blog for this month.
Some examples of items you could send are

  • drawings
  • paintings
  • photography
  • poetry
  • short creative writing
  • fashion designs,
  • make-up art
  • jewelry you created
  • vidoes of songs you composed
  • pictures of meals you have cooked

The sky is the limit. Whatever entry gets the most views in the month will receive a small prize from me, but the point of this month is to celebrate the art we all create. I will credit you and if you have a business, I will link your website with your art.

Send your entries to (Please send me stuff or you will be subjected you my art for a month and believe me, you don’t want that!)

Drink of the Week:
14 Hand Red Wine blend that my hubby picked up for dinner tonight. We pared it with a wonderful pasta with a mushroom and seafood alfredo sauce and grilled asparagus that Mike and Denise cooked up (have I mentioned that I am spoiled?)

Blog of the Week:
The Problematic Privilege of Being Anti-Vaccine
One of the best thought out, level, and true statements about vaccinations I have read.

Song of the Week:

The Writer by Ellie Goulding. I found this song accidentally on my Kindle (Patrick put her album on- I had never heard of her before). I love all her songs and this one is beautiful
