Drink of the Week:
Bengal Spice Celestial Seasonings Tea
This caffeine free tea is the closest thing to having autumn in a cup with out all the calories of a pumpkin spice latte. It has a spicy, sweet flavor that I absolutely love. I have gone through four boxes of the stuff in three weeks!
Blog of the Week:
In Which You Gather at the Homemade Alter by Sarah Bessey
I was just telling a friend about how a few of us used to meet together at home when we were just recovering from being burned out from a church experience. Some of these simple home church groups have been the most meaningful in the honesty, intimacy, and depth that is only possible in a small group. Sarah describes one of these experiences beautifully.
Book of the Week:
The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon. The perfect Diana book to read in the fall. It explains the actual history regarding setting a cross on fire (that has nothing to do with race, but a lot to do with war) and the beginning rumblings of revolt of the American Colonies against the British. If you haven’t read the Outlander Series, immediately drop whatever you are doing for the next year or so and READ THEM. You can thank me later.
Song of the Week:
Safe and Sound by Capital Cities. Love the guy in the beard.
